ELITE ELIMINATOR

START TIMES

10:15am Start- Elite Eliminator (Male & Female)- updated start time as at 19th March 2024.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

The TOP FOUR (4) overall male & female placegetters in the 6km AND 3km events will be invited to run in the Elite Eliminator.

 

If an eligible runner declines their position, then a spot will be made available to the next placed athlete from the event which the original athlete qualified from (e.g. if the 3rd placed male from the 6km declines their spot, then the 4th place male from the 6km will be offered a spot).

COURSE/FORMAT DETAILS

The entire Elite Eliminator event will be run on the athletics track.

The eliminator style event will be 4 LAPS of the athletics track (with lane 6 being the inside running lane).

At the completion of each lap, the last TWO (2) runners across the line will be eliminated.

REGISTRATION/ENTRY FEES

​There are NO entry fees for the Elite Eliminator. There is no separate registration required either. Simply confirm your intent to participate after it is announced on the day and that's all you have to do!

MARSHAL TIME/LOCATION

Athletes will need to meet outside of the fence near the start/finish line by 10:15am

CATEGORIES

There are TWO categories for this event: Elite Women’s and Elite Men’s
 

 

PRIZE MONEY & AWARDS

The following Prize Money and awards will be presented to the TOP 3 in the Shire Run Carnival Elite Eliminator.

1ST MALE & FEMALE - $300 Cash + Shire Run Carnival Gold Medal 

2ND MALE & FEMALE- $200 Cash + Shire Run Carnival Silver Medal

3RD MALE & FEMALE- $100 Cash + Shire Run Carnival Bronze Medal


Winners of prize money will be provided with a link to a google form during the presentation ceremony (approximately 12:30pm), where they will need to provide their Account Name, Account Number and BSB for payment to be made.


RESULTS

  • Full results for all participants will be available from https://www.multisportaustralia.com.au/ as soon as they are finalised after the completion of the event.

  • Reporting a Result Error: If you believe that a result is missing or is incorrect, please report it as soon as possible at the event to Multisport Australia staff. If noticed after the event, you can report it via the “Report An Error” link at the bottom of the relevant results page on https://www.multisportaustralia.com.au
