ABILITY

  • The Shire Run Carnival 3km event is suitable for ALL levels, including walkers (who can complete the 3km course in under 30 minutes).

  • The event will be a rolling start, to prevent congestion on course.

  • Please only enter the 3km event if you can complete the course in under 30 minutes. If you don't think you can complete the course in this time, you are more than welcome to enter the 6km Fun Run/Walk

BIB COLLECTION

  • Bibs will include an embedded timing chip and are to be worn on the FRONT of your running top/singlet.

  • Bib Collection will be available on the day from the bib collection area (in the undercover area next to the track) from 7:15am

  • Please aim to arrive 60 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of your event to allow for parking and bib collection

START PROCESS

  • All runners/walkers should be ready 5 minutes prior to the start time. Access to the start line will be through the gate near the finish line on the outer edge of the track.

  • Note: Dependant on numbers, runners may be called based on specific estimated finish times to make for a safe and enjoyable start (if you are unsure, please start at the back).

  • Please follow instructions of the marshals as to when to move through the gate and to the start line.

  • NOTE: There is no need to rush, as your net time will not start until you have crossed the start line (and all results are based on this net time)
